The XP-28 Irons are clones of the Callaway X-24 irons. They are a game improvement design which are intended for mid- to high-handicap golfers (average score of 85-97 for 18 holes). They have a medium sole width, a moderate offset, and extreme perimeter & notch weighting for maximum forgiveness. The real Callaways retail for $700 with steel shafts or over $900 with graphite, but about 80% of what you're paying for them goes right into Callaway's pocket! Don't waste your hard earned money paying for their overhead in advertising and PGA endorsement costs. These clone clubs are made with the exact same design, materials, quality, and performance as the real Callaway X-24 HOT irons - you're just not paying to have the Callaway name on them!

After trying to get answers on delivery several times with no callback or email response I nearly cancelled my order. It took 3 1/2 weeks to get the order - had there been an indication of this time frame when I ordered the irons there would have been no concern. Nobody calls or e-mails back. Terrible job. I will not recommend Custom Gold Center to anybody.

I have only practiced/played with these irons twice and am already hitting the ball further and straighter.  I'm hitting a club less on every shot and only practiced/played twice.  Great Irons!

Having been a club builder for many years, I was a little skeptical about the reasonable cost of these clubs and how they would perform. They certainly exceeded my expectation! These XP-28 irons are very forgiving and as long as the Taylormade Burner Irons I've been playing. I'm selling the Burner Irons and putting these XP-28 Irons in my bag. Nice product!
